I have been working on making this web site more user friendly. Let me know if there is some way that I could improve it.

Although much of our work deals with nursing home issues and how to protect as much of your savings is legally possible, please check out my latest two article about Assisted Living and how to make it affordable.

This came about by helping a family friend who could no longer live alone, but was not ill enough to stay in a nursing home. We got him an assisted living apartment for $1,118 per month and it includes all of his health care as well.

For those of you that are here because you have a loved one that has become ill and needs nursing home placement, I recommend starting by clicking the tab "MassHealth Info" and then going to the "Library" to search for articles that fit your situation.

For those of you that are here to find information on saving your hard earned assets from the costs of a nursing home, you might want to start at "Saving the Home" and then read "MassHealth Info" for background information.

And now a little about who we are.

The Elder Law Center is a Massachusetts community based law firm that specializes in protecting the rights of the elderly who require nursing home placement. Our attorneys assist families by developing plans to protect the families assets and get Medicaid (MassHealth in Massachusetts) coverage as soon as possible. We also provide estate planning and income tax preparation services.

Elder Law Center is the merger of Elder Law lawyers Ronald H. Surabian, CPA, LL.M and Joseph V. Ananian who combined their practices to deliver a comprehensive service of Elder Law, estate planning, accounting and tax to their clients.
